I’ve used this app for only two days, but it already has everything I need. Dictation is great, and I can quickly choose different styles, like LLM prompts, lists, or clear and simple notes. I also love being able to customize each style with my own instructions. The app gives me a lot of flexibility and control. Exporting notes to Obsidian is a big plus, and the notepad is amazing. I tried many apps during their free trials, but this one has everything I was looking for. I just became a Prime subscriber. I use it on my Z Fold 8 and Windows desktop, and I absolutely love it.

This is such a beautifully crafted app. It's incredibly powerful: not only does it have an intuitive and fully featured interface, but it is extensible through both the audio keyboard and integrations features. This means that it's both self-contained, but you can also use it as part of other AI workflows. It's become my go-to tool for work through audio dictation and then it helps me shape presentations and blogs, as well as helping me manage my KPIs. And personally I use it for journaling. I can't recommend it more as an alternative to Wispr Flow or OpenWhispr.

My new best friend

I use AudioPen to record notes when I’m practicing my instrument. I used to find it super disruptive to set my instrument down and then write notes by hand so I never stuck with it. AudioPen to the rescue! I dictate notes as I practice, and it’s a game changer! Love it!

Louis has created an amazing product. It has made my life so much easier. I am a prolific writer, but sometimes I need more streamlined ways to get my thoughts out. So I have learned to love this app. It does an amazing job at dictation. Now I haven't tried local transcription. I'm using the cloud and I am an AudioPen prime subscriber. I use this a lot for taking notes during the day. And I find that its ability to select the style, such as original or in my case technical, and journaling, etc., is very handy because it allows me to create summaries that are better suited for each of the target applications and the topic that I'm discussing.

AudioPen has been an invaluable when it comes to getting down my ideas quickly and concisely. I was an early adopter and even though many other voice-based note-taking apps have come to market, I still come back to AudioPen because of the good design, fast transcriptions, and integration with third party tools. It really is invaluable to my workflow.

As an ex special forces medic and sniper I know how important it is to document and keeping records. Nowadays I am a psychologist and a professional martial artist. The ability to circumvent typing and just saying what is on my mind - be it an idea, a task I have to do or the next breakthrough in my training - is invaluable. I can add specific words that only a purpose-built app would understand. This makes it unique: No constant spelling corrections that would drain me. Instead they have now even made a keyboard so I don't have to write at all anymore if I don't want. Message to a friend, a patient or even my martial arts instructor is now an absolute breeze. Best spent money on an app EVER! Thanks Louis PS: The integration with Zapier and Notion? Ridiculously brilliant!!!

Incredible app for creatives and writers

I’ve been using this app consistently for over a year and it has aided me so much in my creative process. The ability to record and get a transcript so easily is game changing, but also the organization and ability to make it your own. I love it.

Fantastic app! One of my top top 5 apps. So configurable too. I speak my work notes to it throughout the day and it sends them a Notion workbook as well as a copy to a Google sheet that I can search when I need to. I use it on in Chrome as well as on my phone.

The AI built into the app can take your words and formats them into different themes as needed if you so choose to do so. It takes recording thoughts when a keyboard is not accessible to the next level and ramps up productivity by accurately taking my vocal comments and transcribing them and ready to paste format. It even gives you the opportunity to add specialized words into the data base.

Clarity, coherence, speed.

I use AudioPen mainly as a way of clearing my mind. It’s like talking to a friend I just tell it everything I’m thinking without bothering to edit or filter in any way and then I hit stop and the app takes over. I love the way it syncs to the desktop notes are there typed up for me to review whenever I like. If like me you get your best ideas in the middle of the night or what you think might be your best idea ideas but you forgotten them by morning then AudioPen is ideal. I can pick up my phone and whisper away to my heart’s content and then read it all back in the morning. I don’t normally review apps, but I heartily recommend this one.

Siri looks completely outdated once you've tried this app. It lets you turn speech into meaningful, properly formatted text in any field or program — with just one shortcut. It works really well and makes my life a lot easier.

Such a powerful app

I have never ever written an app review, but this one is so useful for me and doing a great job. I do my notes on my own language and do a perfect translation for English. I can’t recommend enough who love making notes but don’t like to write or just feel overwhelmed with all the little notes.

I've been enthusiastic about the app from the start. Now, I use it several times a day. It's become almost indispensable. These are the real uses of artificial intelligence. I use it for both work and personal life. With the recent introduction of the app for Macintosh, it's become even more essential. Great job! It's also great that you can share content directly, whether with webhooks or on a personalized webpage. This way, you can transfer text even when you don't have access privileges to install the app on a computer.

A complete game-changer. The elegance of the new desktop app as a text-to-speech typist is impressive. It interfaces seamlessly with all my apps, it's unobtrusive yet ready when I need it, and it's really accurate with punctuation, including dialogue quotes and paragraph breaks. So I can use it for both short entries like searchbar queries, and longer form data entries like journaling or email creation. I liked AudioPen as a convenience for general spech-to-text thoughts, but this new in-app trick is really useful. I've stuck it in my sacred "open at Login" file. Can't give it any higher praise than that.

There are some tools you use that transform your life, and AudioPen is that tool for me. I have a chronic medical condition that can make the most basic things I would do extremely difficult, including typing. AudioPen has allowed me to communicate even when my body is imprisoning me. I only wish I had known about AudioPen earlier in my healthcare journey.

I originally got it because I think the best on my walks. iPhone’s dictation feature is too error prone and didn’t allow me to think freely. So, rather than sit at my desk all day, now I can go on walks and still solve problems. Amazing ROI.

I have ADHD and this is probably the most important productivity app I have. I never had the patience to sit down on a keyboard to type and so using my voice and voice notes to do my work has changed my life.

This application was really helpful. When I am watching a video, sometimes I am unable to take notes so I used AudioPen. The video caption are sometimes wrong but AudioPen listen everything and removing the unwanted information and making the notes efficiently and Clearly in a understandable way

Audiopen changed my life, and that sounds dramatic, but it's true. It was one of the first AI apps that actually added value and it has been in constant development. Since the webhooks, I have connected it to my personal assistant that uses the output to take action on over 15 actions, making things a whole lot easier. I could only do that so easy by creating perfect templates in Audiopen, so the output becomes relaible enough for the assistant to process. I bought another subscription for my wife. Keep it going Louis!

I've recorded over 1000 notes with AudioPen. It's completely changed the way I work. Every time I go for a walk I record what I say: then I come home and get to work on coaching, content, and writing. Louis has done a wonderful job of updates over the last two years. It's the easiest app for me to recommend.

Amazing rewrites from messy thoughts

I've been using this app for a while and it's amazing. I can talk in a messy and unstructured way and the result is amazing. From daily diary entries to ideas to comments about books, it's great. For me what stands out is the quality of the rewrite

I never thought in such a short time I could love an app so much. Louis has made this product, simple, lightweight, and easy to use. I’m not a coder, but I’m pretty sure AI is being used in the background and I’m fine with that. At first, I thought it was just going to simply paraphrase my words, but the fact that the upgraded version allows you to re-interpret your notes into various writing styles has blown my puny caveman mind. All of this is to say, I hope AudioPen is able to stay simple and useful!

I rambled on for 15 minutes and then appended it with another 5 minutes and then let AudioPen write the testimonial for me, so here you go: "I recently bought a two-year subscription for AudioPen. The reason I decided to buy it is because the three-minute limit on the free plan isn't enough for me. I tend to pause, think, and ramble a bit, so I need more time to get my thoughts out. When I know there's only a minute left, I start to panic and rush through my ideas. With the 15-minute limit on the Prime subscription, I can fully explore my thoughts without feeling rushed. Another great feature is that I can create multiple notes and merge them into one summary. This helps me organize my ideas better. Plus, with the paid plan, I can pause and resume recordings if there are interruptions. I'm not sure how many of the other features I'll use, but for now, the longer recording time is what matters most to me. It's like blogging, where you can take your time to organize your thoughts. Speaking feels more natural to me, and AudioPen helps turn my spoken words into something easy to read. For example, when writing a blog post or making a YouTube video, instead of worrying about every word, I can just speak freely. AudioPen then organizes my speech into a coherent script. Even though I'll still need to edit out some ums and ahs, having an organized script from AudioPen will make the process smoother. Overall, I'm happy with my decision to upgrade. The 15-minute recording time will help me express myself better without feeling rushed. Even if I don't use all 15 minutes every time, it's good to have the option for when I need it. I'm sure this tool will be very handy for organizing my thoughts before recording videos or writing blog posts. That's why I decided to upgrade, and I'm happy I did. Thanks! Also, I forgot to mention that the Prime plan lets you save unlimited notes, while the free plan only allows up to 10 notes. This means you can use AudioPen for journaling. You can just speak into the mic about whatever is on your mind, and it will organize your thoughts into clear, easy-to-read writing. It's a fast way of journaling, which I find very useful. Journaling can be very therapeutic, but sitting down to write everything by hand is a hassle. When you stop to correct grammar and work on sentence structure, it interrupts your flow of thoughts. Even though you might not care about perfect grammar while journaling, it's nice to have something pleasant to read later. Plus, with the Prime plan, you can share your written notes as images on social media. This makes it easy to share parts of your journal with others. Indispensable

There are plenty of mediocre and half baked AI apps out there that promise far more than they deliver. audioPen on the other hand, lives up to its promise and delivers every time. I wish more people would use it to clarify their thoughts before they send a request... it is also a big plus when you have it developer who is highly responsive to its users and Louis is clearly committed to making his app the best in class.

I am using Audiopen Prime for a few weeks now and loving it! It's really great. All my thoughts I can pin down by using my voice and it transcribes and rephrases what I want to say very well. I am a natural speaker. My ideas flow faster when I speak. I record my voice notes and with my accent, it is perfect all the time. I have spent some time to create styles. There are so many AI tools out there nowadays that I hesitate to recommend one; but I'm going to anyway. I bought AudioPen on a lifetime deal (LTD) a month ago and its been fantastic. No space left to explain why but the LTD disappears in 2 weeks time!

This is the best app ever. I tell everyone about it. If you have a ton of mental load, write a lot of content, are a human with an internet connection, or all of the above, you need this app.

I like to talk a lot, and I've tortured people with long vocalizations before. They're hard to take in, impossible to edit, hard for people to get value out of, and they didn't make me any money. Typing isn't the answer either. No matter how fast you type, typed text is still born slower and more stressful. Your fingers can't keep up with your thoughts. With audiopen your thoughts are alive and clear. It takes very little time to communicate with customers. Instead of long voice memos, I create cool posts that I use with minimal customization. AudioPen hardly cuts any text at all. Just tidies up everything I've said without deleting anything. Divides into paragraphs according to meaning, leaves out periods and commas, removes errors, confusions, just like a human would. It's very convenient. I now have my own personal Audiopen assistant. Just imagine that now you always have a girl with a laptop next to you, recording everything you say. The great writers used to write books that way. It was a surprise to me to learn that they didn't write them by hand, they just dictated them to their assistant. So become a great writer, state your thoughts clearly, lucidly and let hundreds, thousands of people read those thoughts. This app makes the world a better place. This is an example of what everyone should strive for, in my opinion.

AudioPen is a lifesaver! I have tried so many different products because I am a fan of "think fast, talk smart". I want to train myself to be a better speaker. At the same time, I am developing an online course where I need to produce as many scripts as possible and ideally I would like to speak better than write first. This way I can train myself as I create. AudioPen has saved me hundreds of hours of wasted time on voice to script applications that I think I have tried. I like using AudioPen. Its ability to summarize surprised me. The new update lets you control rewriting. It helps keep my voice while cleaning up transcripts. AudioPen can handle lots of data too. I had a big transcript from Whisper AI; too big for ChatGPT. AudioPen had no problems formatting the text.

I can 100% confirm all the positive reviews you can read about AudioPen all over the www. For someone like me whose writing can't keep up with the actual speed of thoughts, this tool is the best answer I could find, I can just let my mind go, wander and do its thing without setting barriers or limiting it, the tool will then "translate" thoughts into some structured snippet that I can use at will, or simply read to better internalise my confused thoughts. I've been finding AudioPen useful for content creating too, especially when combined with other tools. It's not perfect, I noticed for example that when I speak for more than 3-4 minutes, then "translation" at some point gets unstructured and quality overall drops a bit, but I guess it's part of the normal evolution of the tool. So far, a well-deserved million stars!

This is a fantastic program to use, even though I can type 85wpm. That is always thinking in words as I type them. Now, with audio, I find myself thinking visually and being more descriptive. The styles feature still puts my words in an academic style for my papers and casual tone for other work. This has been a game changer for taking study notes and indeed my whole workflow. I have even got it integrated into Obsidian.

It is very rare in todays highly competitive world that a product or service exceeds expectations- AudioPen met this high bar for me and then some. Now, I do not say that lightly, in fact as a serial entrepreneur myself, I am not easily impressed. AudioPen helped me get out of a writing rut and get back and complete my last 5 chapters in a week. it does one thing and it does it well! i have paid access to many transcription services as well as chatgpt but the simplicity and effective of this encourages me to reach for my audio pen every time i wanna write ✍️ sure i got a bucketload of feature requests but perhaps the simplicity here is a feature not bug 😄

I have been trialing the product for the past week or so, and I'm already in love with it! I can see it boosting my productivity by helping me ramble my thoughts during walks and have a summary ready for processing.

I love this idea. I used speech-to-text software for note-taking a while ago, but it was a struggle. I spent a lot of time formatting things + getting rid of "umms" and "likes"—in the end, I wasn't saving much time. AudioPen is an awesome solution! Just played around with it for 5 minutes and the summaries work really well! I'll probably be going back to speech-to-text notes😁 Excited to see what new features you roll out!

Damn, that was impressive, I didn't expect this quality of results @louispereira23. Love this product I wish I can integrate this thing with Apple Notes or maybe even better have an Audio pen app on my phone. I am a fierce note-taker and generally, I do all the note-taking on my phone or a physical journal. An app like this will be really beneficial for me to speed up my note-taking process. @louispereira AudioPen is solid product with a nice and clean UX. It does exactly what it's supposed to do and has no features I don't need. Already a daily part of my toolkit.

Audiopen, with its Zapier integration, has helped me to replace the daily journal. My note is summarized in Audiopen.ai, and then when I save it it gets synced to my Notion folder! This is pure magic...

I've had AudioPen since Louis launched it and I've been loving it 😀 I use it when I go walking to either create blog posts or to just record my thoughts. The great thing is that instead of consuming a Podcast - I'm actually creating content, which makes it such a time saver. As always, my favorite way to use generative AI tools is not to replace human work, but to improve individual steps in my own creative work. This little tool is a new fav: audiopen.ai General summary tools have been less useful for me, but this worked PERFECTLY.

Now a proud life-time supporter of @louispereira's AudioPen. It transcribes and summarizes voice notes. Takes the messy bit at the bottom and turns it into the nice bit at the top. My personal feature request: Also be able to download the original audio.
