AudioPen for Notion

Your AudioPen notes, automatically in Notion.

Talk it out in AudioPen. A clean, tagged note lands in Notion about a minute later.

Part of AudioPen Prime. Set up in a minute.

A note is recorded in AudioPen. A moment later it appears as a new row at the top of the AudioPen Notes database in Notion, with its folder, tags and date filled in.

Set up in a minute

Connect once. Notes keep arriving.

New and edited notes show up in Notion about a minute after you finish them, from any device.

There is nothing to install. You connect in your browser, at notion.audiopen.ai.

1. Sign in with your AudioPen email

Go to notion.audiopen.ai and enter the email on your AudioPen account. We send you a one-time code. There is no password and no key to copy.

2. Choose a page in Notion

Notion asks which pages AudioPen can use. Choose the page your notes should go to, and AudioPen makes a database called AudioPen Notes inside it.

3. Your notes start arriving

Your existing notes come over first, which can take a few minutes for a big library. After that, new and edited notes show up about a minute after you finish them.
Connect to Notion

You can also start from AudioPen's page in Notion's gallery of connections.

Clean note, raw words kept

Clean notes, with your exact words underneath.

AudioPen's rewrite becomes the page. Bullet points and numbered lists stay real lists, so the note reads in Notion the way it reads in AudioPen.

Your original transcript sits in a toggle below it. Open it when you want to check exactly what you said. Close it and it stays out of the way.

Three bets for Q4, in order of confidence:

  • Ship the team plan by mid-October and price it per seat.
  • Rebuild onboarding around the first recording, not the signup form.
  • Run one partner launch with a newsletter our users already read.

What we're not doing: a redesign. That waits for Q1.

okay so three bets for Q4, um, in order of how confident I am. first one, we ship the team plan by like mid October and we price it per seat. second, onboarding, I think we rebuild it around the first recording, not the signup form. and third, one partner launch, maybe with a newsletter our users already read. oh and we are not doing a redesign, that can wait till Q1...

Work

A board by folder

Add a Board view grouped by Folder. Work, Ideas and Journal each get a column, and new notes drop into the right one.

A voice journal on a calendar

Add a Calendar view by Created. Each day shows what you talked through, which adds up to a journal you never had to type.

A weekly review

Filter to notes created in the past week, newest first. Read it back on Friday and pick what to act on.

One view per tag

Filter by a tag like meeting or books for a running log of every meeting or every book you have talked through. Turn on Automatic Tagging in AudioPen and new notes arrive tagged.

Link notes to your projects

Add a relation column that points to your Projects or Clients database. Each note then sits next to the work it is about.

Ask Notion AI

If you use Notion AI, it can find and sum up your AudioPen notes along with the rest of your workspace. Ask what you decided about pricing last month.

How it behaves

Built to stay out of your way.

Arrives in about a minute

New and edited notes reach Notion about a minute after you finish them, from your phone, your computer or the web. Nothing needs to stay open.

Your edits stay yours

Change a page in Notion, its text or any of its columns, and AudioPen never writes over it again. The same goes for pages you archive, lock or move to the trash.

Read-only on AudioPen

The connector only reads your notes. It never adds, changes or deletes anything in your AudioPen account.

Nothing disappears on its own

Delete a note in AudioPen and its page stays in Notion. If you want the page gone, delete it in Notion.

To disconnect, open Notion and go to Settings, then Connections, and remove AudioPen. The pages already in your workspace stay where they are. The connector keeps encrypted sign-in tokens and a record of which note went to which page, but never a copy of your notes. Read more in our privacy policy.

More integrations

More places your notes can go.

Obsidian

The official AudioPen plugin saves every note as a Markdown file in your vault.

ChatGPT and Claude

Let your assistant search and read your notes while you chat. It can look, but never change a thing.

Zapier

Send each new note to Google Docs, Sheets, Slack or thousands of other apps.

Webhooks

Post every new note to a URL of your choice and build your own workflow on top.
