AudioPen
Your notes, inside ChatGPT and Claude
Connect AudioPen to ChatGPT or Claude and your assistant can search and read your notes while you chat. Ask what you said about a project last week, turn a rambling voice note into an email, or pull the original transcript of a note you cleaned up. The connection is read-only. Your assistant can look things up, but it can never change or delete a note.
Connecting is part of AudioPen Prime.
Connect in ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT on the web and go to Settings, then Apps.
- Find AudioPen in the directory and choose Connect. If you are adding it by URL instead, press the plus button, choose OAuth, and enter https://mcp.audiopen.ai/mcp.
- A sign-in page opens. Enter the email address on your AudioPen account.
- Enter the one-time code we email you. It is the same login you use in the AudioPen apps.
- You are connected. Start a chat and ask ChatGPT something about your notes.
Connect in Claude
- Open Claude and go to Settings, then Connectors.
- Find AudioPen in the directory and choose Connect. If you are adding it by URL, choose Add custom connector and enter https://mcp.audiopen.ai/mcp.
- Enter your AudioPen email, then the one-time code we send you.
- You are connected. Ask Claude about your notes in any chat.
What your assistant can do
- Search your notes by keyword. A search matches note text, titles, voice transcripts, tag names, and folder names.
- List your tags and folders, so it can find its way around a vague request.
- Read one note in full, including the original transcript.
What it cannot do
- Create, edit, or delete notes.
- See notes belonging to anyone else.
- Do anything unless you ask it a question that needs your notes.
Disconnect
Remove AudioPen from your assistant's settings at any time. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Apps, and remove AudioPen. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and remove it. Nothing is stored on the AudioPen side other than an encrypted sign-in token, which stops being used the moment you disconnect.
Troubleshooting
- “This is a Prime feature.” Connecting is part of AudioPen Prime. Upgrade, then connect again.
- The code did not arrive. Check your spam folder, then go back and re-enter your email. Make sure it is the address on your AudioPen account.
- Your assistant says the connection has expired. Disconnect AudioPen in the assistant's settings and connect again.
- Anything else. Email hello@audiopen.ai.
